2017.11 We have submitted a planning application for Casa Witiza, a complete refurbishment of a single family house in Madrid, located in the historical working-class neighbourhood Colonia Tercio Terol.
2017.10 Beatriz Alés Atelier wins 2nd prize in an open competition for the refurbishment of Plaza de la Vaguada in Madrid. A specialized jury selected two proposals and the citizenship of Madrid was invited to vote which project will be built. A margin of only 1,19 per cent of the votes separated the first and the second option.
2017.09 On the occasion of the second centenary of the Barcelona Architecture School ETSAB-UPC, the university has organized the exhibition Ciutat-Escola, which shows 260 diplomas that were developed in the city of Barcelona. The project Centralize to connect: urban mixed use development is part of it. The exhibition can be visited at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya until 24th September 2017.

2016.08 The Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz has published a new website to document the competition procedure of the Museum of the 20th Century.
The results of the competition will be published at the end of this year and this website will also accompany the construction process of the winner design.
2016.07 Our project for a new school complex for 350 students in Zürich-Albisrieden is exhibited together with the other participants from 6 to 17. Juli 2016.
The brief of the competition Neubau Schulanlage Freilager involved the construction of a primary school with 18 classrooms, a swimming pool, a double sports center and a new green corridor, which will be part of the urban open space concept Letzi.

2016.06 The international congress Architecture: Change of Climate, which runs from 29 June to 1 July 2016, includes the awards ceremony of the competition Premio Otis, organised by the Fundación Arquitectura y Sociedad in 2015. The project A quarter of a house but an entire neighborhood was awarded with the second prize.
2016.06 The project Centralize to connect: urban mixed use development is shown in the VII Muestra de Proyectos Final de Carrera, within the framework of the XIII Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo [BEAU]. The exhibition can be visited until the end of summer.

2016.02 We are proud to announce that the team Beatriz Alés + Elena Zaera is one of the ten prize-winning teams in the ideas competition to design a new museum for 20th century art in Berlin. The second stage of the competition will take place during summer 2016 and we are invited to participate.

2015.06 A quarter of a house but an entire neighborhood was awarded with the second prize on the competition Premio Otis, organized by Fundación Arquitectura y Sociedad. The competition's aim was to solve accessibility problems on the historical center of different Spanish cities.
2015.01 La masa desnuda was awarded with the second prize on the competition CevisamaLab. The project rethinks how a collective restroom should be and plans its approach regardless of the materials.
The project will be exhibited from 9 to 13 February in a satellite exhibition, within Cevisama, where the award ceremony will also take place.
2014.10 From October 2014 on, Centralize to connect: urban mixed use development can be found on the archive of the Escola Superior Tècnica d'Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB-UPC), as all the diplomas that received the highest grades.

2013.04 Under the name "Cristal, pez, bruto, ave", the proposal to design a center for urban activities in Coimbra has been awarded with an honourable mention on the ideas competition XXIII Concurso Nacional Pladur.
2012.10 The project Ferran el Catòlic has been awarded with the first prize on the competition Racons Públics. This proposal wanted to separate itself from other proposals by analyzing deeply the current problems of this corner and eliminating them.
